The legendary Battle of Bhimber stands as one of the greatest victories of the Chib Rajputs.By the mid-18th century, Bhimber had risen as the most powerful Muslim kingdom in the Dogra hills, stretching from Nowshera to the outskirts of Rajouri, the historic capital of Jammu & Kashmir.

This term is usually reserved for the 5th and 6th centuries. Re-enactors who re-create the next period of history - 7th to 11th centuries - often refer to this as Early medieval. The 12th to 14th are High medieval.
