Legacy of the Chib Dynasty

The Chib Rajputs are a proud, family-orientated tribe with traditions carried forward through countless generations. Our heritage is rooted in valor, honor, and leadership, and every Chib—young or old—has a place in preserving this legacy. From heroic tales of our ancestors to the cultural values we live by today, the Chibs have always upheld their ancestral roots with dignity and pride.

The Chib Dynasty began with Chib Chand, a scion of the Katoch royal family of Kangra, and reached its zenith in Bhimber, the historic gateway to Kashmir. It endured through centuries of challenges and triumphs, ultimately concluding with Raja Sultan Khan, the last independent ruler of Bhimber in the 19th century.
